China stone

Produced from our Great Wheal Prosper Quarry, this naturally occurring granite is renowned in the UK as the premium quality bone china flux. It consists largely of soda and potash felspars and is very low in iron content. As a result of its gentle fluxing action, good fired colour and translucency, it is used extensively as a fluxing agent in bone china bodies.
