Architectural stone

The appearance of Cornish Granite is widely respected throughout the world. Individual pieces of stone, polished or natural, make a significant visual impact in landscapes and fountains. In terrazzo floors or concrete cladding panels the natural beauty of Goonvean stone shines through. Goonvean’s granite can add impressive features to any structure. The natural variation generated by aeons of geological development can be extended by supplying materials from our four different sources.

Goonvean raw materials are to be seen in many high quality precast concrete and reconstituted stone products, not only within Cornwall but further field. You could be looking at Goonvean stone in Newcastle upon Tyne, and even in Hong Kong Airport.

Achitectural stone is not just used on buildings. Battersea Park’s cycle way in London is surfaced with Goonvean stone chippings, not only because they were hard wearing, but also because they looked right.

The diversity of granite can be complemented by the simplicity of Rostowrack sands. These white sands, which can be graded into many different fractions, are used extensively in precast concrete to give a white appearance, as well as adding to structural integrity and economy of production.
