Restoration

Goonvean takes responsibility for restoring every inch of land once mining is complete. Areas that have been restored are returned to nature, in conjunction with English Nature, while Cornish heathland has been reintroduced into several areas. Our mine planning identifies long term restoration aims, including the after use of our sites for agriculture, heathland conservation or leisure activities.

Our long-term goal is to ensure that mined land once again becomes an integral part of the local amenities.
