Recycling

Recycling is a key part of Goonvean’s responsibility to the environment. While we strive to minimise waste, we also try to re-use any waste that is produced. For example, we recover, treat and recycle all of the water used in the production process.

Aggregates are a major part of the by-products produced at Goonvean. These are processed for use by the local construction market and a number of specialist customers. We even rework old tips to salvage the waste of previous generations of mining, using modern techniques to recover useful clays and aggregates.

Our responsibility to recycling isn’t restricted to the outdoors. At Goonvean we try to recycle everything, even office waste products such as coffee cups and paper. Being responsible in the use of resources is a key part of our company philosophy.
